OUR LEADERSHIP

Ejolle Lovert Epie, Esq.

Environmental attorney Ejolle Lovert Epie established the nonprofit Joint Actions for Sustainable Development (JASD) Research Foundation in 2022 to support innovative community development programs for Indigenous communities in the Bakossi Rainforest of southwest Cameroon, where he was born.
Mr. Epie holds a master’s degree in international environmental law from the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon. His legal work promotes environmental sustainability, climate action, and equity through social entrepreneurship. He has expertise in regenerative agriculture, ecosystem and biodiversity preservation, policy development, capacity building, human rights, and cultural sustainability. He has collaborated with various non-governmental agencies (NGOs) and international programs throughout his career, including the Peace Corps Cameroon, the World Bank Youth Summit, Peace First, AfriNet, Social Shifter, GREEVIKA Research, and SaiCare.
In 2022, Mr. Epie and ESG Review Editor Daniel Foelber co-authored 'The Lungs of Central Africa' in the ESG Review, a prominent publication focused on environmental and social governance.
Before establishing JASD, Mr. Epie worked with four NGOs dedicated to ecosystem conservation and Indigenous rights in the Congo Basin’s forest and coastal communities. He is highly respected for his impartial, ethical, and non-discriminatory approach.
WHAT WE DO
We're dedicated to implementing innovative community development initiatives that protect Cameroon's forest and coastal communities and the Indigenous people who have served as stewards of these invaluable ecosystems for generations.

Regenerative Agriculture Transition Pathways (RATP) Program
The JASD's Regenerative Agriculture Transitions Pathways (RATP) Program equips Indigenous women and girls with the tools, seeds, and hands-on instruction needed to grow and preserve healthy food for their communities. The project supports the Bakossi community's traditional agroforestry practices and provides comprehensive training in regenerative farming principles, including seed preservation, biofertilizer production, and natural pest management. This holistic approach increases food production, builds agricultural resilience, improves food security, and reduces vulnerability during conflicts and climate disasters. The project also preserves the region's endangered biodiversity and cultural heritage. LEARN MORE.
